The oil refining industry plays a crucial role in meeting the world’s energy demands. Within this industry, boilers serve as essential equipment for various processes. As a leading boiler manufacturer, ZOZEN Boiler offers a range of types of boiler used in oil refinery.
Factors to Consider When Choosing Boilers:
When selecting boilers for oil refineries, several factors need to be taken into consideration. These factors include energy efficiency, environmental impact, reliability, operational costs, and regulatory compliance. Choosing the right types of boiler used in oil refinery can significantly impact the efficiency and sustainability of refining operations.
Types of Boiler Used in Oil Refinery:
Oil refineries employ different types of boilers to cater to their specific heating and power requirements. The following boiler types are commonly used in oil refineries:
Fuel Oil and Gas Boilers: These boilers utilize fuel oil or natural gas as the primary fuel source. They offer high efficiency and excellent combustion control, making them ideal for oil refining processes.
ZOZEN YQW series oil/gas thermal oil heater adopts a two or three passes round coil structure. The end of the coil tube is tapered, effectively protecting the end furnace wall of the boiler. It is equipped with advanced combustion equipment, and the operation of the boiler is fully automated. The boiler is shipped as a whole and can be put into operation just by connecting the gas (oil) and electricity after it is in place on the site.
YQ(Y)W series gas-fired/oil-fired horizontal thermal oil heater
Thermal capacity: 1400-14000 kW
Working pressure: 0.8-1.0 MPa
Outlet temperature: 320 °C
Available fuel: Natural gas, coke oven gas, biogas, heavy oil, diesel oil, light oil, etc.
Biomass-Fired Boilers: Biomass boilers use organic materials, such as wood pellets or agricultural waste, as fuel sources. These boilers provide a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution, ensuring reduced carbon emissions and promoting renewable energy utilization in refineries.
ZOZEN cooperated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University to research, developed and manufactured biomass boilers that use wood chips, straws, palm shells, mesocarp fiber, rice husk and other wastes as fuels in order to achieve zero carbon dioxide emissions. After numerous tests and simulations, we have developed a reasonable structure of furnace arch, furnace wall and furnace heating surface that guarantees combustion efficiency and evaporation rate. NOx emissions of our biomass boilers can be as low as 100 mg/Nm3 with thermal efficiencies up to 88%.
Coal-Fired Boilers: Coal-fired boilers are commonly used in oil refineries that have access to abundant coal resources. They offer robust combustion and steam generation capabilities, making them suitable for large-scale refining operations.
ZOZEN coal-fired chain grate boilers and coal-fired fluidized bed boilers are one of types of boiler used in oil refinery. Coupled with our proven high-efficiency, low-emission clean coal technology, our coal-fired boilers have the advantages of sufficient output, high thermal efficiency and wide coal adaptability without compromising safety and reliability.
Selecting the right types of boiler used in oil refinery is crucial to optimize the energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and meet stringent regulatory requirements. ZOZEN Boiler‘s comprehensive range of boilers, provides reliable and sustainable solutions for the oil refining industry.
